The University of Colorado Regents delayed a vote at their Wednesday meeting on a policy that would require any student fee increase go before a vote of the entire student body, instead opting to give the University of Colorado Student Union - CU-Boulder's student government - the opportunity to debate the proposal before Regents make a final decision.

At a Friday meeting hosted by Gov. Bill Ritter, many of Colorado’s top higher education officials expressed concern over Ritter's support of a proposed plan to funnel oil and gas money into scholarships rather than directly into university operating budgets.
