"The future will be on YouTube. Though Barack Obama and the Democrats utilized the "new media" to their advantage in the fall, the Republicans are beginning to use them, also. With the creation of the Colorado Senate News blog last year, the Republicans began to bypass traditional media and speak directly to the citizens. Now, the Senate Republicans created a "Capitol Update" series to appear on YouTube.

In the premiere episode, Senator Nancy Spence of Centennial discusses the financial crisis, fiscal responsibility, and the senior property tax exemption."
