Over the last decade the University of Colorado has hired three Democrat ex-lawmakers to serve on its faculty. But now, in the aftermath of the institution's decision to not add a top Republican to its ranks, a CU leader is alleging bias.

According to documents obtained by Face the State, University of Colorado Denver Chancellor M. Roy Wilson is the highest paid CU chancellor, earning a base salary of $468,115, incentive payments of up to $175,000 annually and an additional $75,000 per year in supplemental pay. All told, Wilson has the potential to earn up to $718,115 per year - almost twice the university's other two chancellors - and making him the second highest paid university employee, second only to a resident doctor in the school of medicine.

"Former Senator Hank Brown, a friend of my own election campaign, has been campaigning publicly for Amendment 49, a proposal that would end the government's role as bag man for unions and their recycling of public dollars into political campaigns. It wouldn't prevent anyone from giving to their union small donor committee, it would just make the unions responsible for their own collections and accounting.
