SENATE PRESIDENT BRANDON SHAFFER: Good morning everyone, and welcome to the retreat. Before we get started, are there any questions?

REP. JOEL JUDD: Yeah, are they going to bring out anymore glazed donuts? Someone took the last one.

When I was 16, I worked in a fast food restaurant that shall go unnamed for reasons that will become obvious shortly. One busy afternoon, I spilled a package of french fries on the dirty, disgusting floor. My manager, (my MANAGER mind you), quickly scooped up the scattered spuds and put them in the bag with the rest of the customer’s order.

Political cartoon for 2/16: What's the fuss?

Hudak has resisted recent legislative efforts to provide more transparency for public school spending. FTS cartoonist Milton takes a guess as to why.

It’s been an awesome week. A week where Lakewood began requiring that all paid escorts be registered and injected with tracking micro-chips. Or maybe that was cats. It's easy to get confused with so many good ideas coming out of our local and state governments these days.

What is Senator Hudak trying to hide?

Collaboration? From Evie Hudak?

November 1, 2008

"Laughable quote of the day from Democrat state senator Brandon Shaffer, as reported in Politicker:

In state Senate District 19, Shaffer gave Democrat Evie Hudak the edge over Republican Libby Szabo, saying Szabo is “extraordinarily partisan.”

“Eventually, there’s enough of a base there, enough unaffiliated voters who are looking for more of a collaborative approach to getting things done across party lines, that they’ll come home to Evie,” Shaffer said.

Evie Hudak's squandered opportunity

"Libby Szabo's supporters must think she has a good shot at winning her state senate race (Colorado District 19) against Evie Hudak, because they're dumping a ton of money on Hudak.

Hudak had her chance to beat Szabo, and she totally blew it. Her only hope now is that the government employees (particularly the teachers' unions) put her over the top, and that she benefits from strong up-ticket Democratic support.

What does Evie Hudak really stand for?

September 17, 2008

"Perhaps the most closely contested state legislative race of 2008 is the battle for Senate District 19 in Arvada and Westminster. But how close would it be if people really knew what Democratic candidate Evie Hudak stood for? Yes, the same Evie Hudak who has a bizarrely condescending view of homeschoolers and parental responsibility in education."
