It's not often U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, a self-described Vermont socialist, and Rep. Ron Paul, the most libertarian member of the House GOP, can agree on anything. Despite this rift - nay, gulf - in ideology, the two men are signed on as co-sponsors of House Resolution 1207 , which calls for an audit of the Federal Reserve System.

Earmarks focus heavily on transportation

Members of Colorado's Congressional delegation have released their requests for federal appropriations funding, commonly called earmarks. Of Colorado's seven representatives, six, excluding Rep. Mike Coffman, an Aurora Republican, requested earmarks totaling over $1 billion, half of which were transportation requests for the Regional Transportation District and the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Backers of Amendment 52 announced Wednesday they have the full support of former state Senate President John Andrews, U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn, his primary opponent Jeff Crank, and the state’s most popular conservative radio host, Mike Rosen.

“I like 52 because it identifies a responsible revenue stream for roads and does so without new taxes,” Andrews said.
