Guard shoots suspect at check business

A man suspected of trying to rob a check-cashing business Tuesday morning was shot by an armed security guard at the store, according to Aurora police.

Police described him as being in "grave condition" before being transported to a local hospital.

The incident happened shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Check Into Cash store at the intersection of East Sixth Avenue and Chambers Road, Aurora police spokesman Detective Robert Friel said.

Aurora police had received a call of a robbery in progress, and the first officer arrived about a minute later to find the guard and the suspect, who had been shot, Friel said.

"The determination of whether it was a justified shooting will come from the (Arapahoe County) district attorney, not from us," Friel said.

Well I guess these guys will never have to be tried for robbing the place.Hope this guy gets off and does not get charged. What did they think they were doing there.Going to bring them cookies and milk. What are you supposed to do when someone is robbing your business. Also why should this guy face charges,he did not go to the robbers place of business to rob them. All I know is one less dirtbag to worry about. Also make sure to remember that dead men can not testify against you.Believe you and me if I get picked for jury duty it will be my pleasure to serve.
