You can always count on Boulder to think big.
More on that in a moment on the Face The State Radio Minute.
I don't need to tell you our state faces some serious issues in the year to come, economic recovery chief among them. Big issues like global warming and nuclear weapons.
ICBM's aren't on the top of your list of concerns? Well it's serious stuff for the Boulder City Council, which met for the first time after the November election and promptly got to work solving the world's biggest problems. There's a full recession going on, but the Boulderites are busy sending a delegation to the Copenhagen conference. And the Council also reaffirmed its position opposing all nuclear weapons, anywhere on Earth.
Unemployment and local tax reform might not be as sexy as international diplomacy, but that's the city council's job. Too bad they're too preoccupied with the U.N. to notice.
I'm Brad Jones.
