11/19: Is John Salazar vulnerable?
Is U.S. Rep. John Salazar vulnerable in 2010?
More on that in a moment on the Face The State Radio Minute.
Will the second time be the charm for Scott Tipton, the current state Represenatative who previously launched an unsuccessful campaign versus U.S. Rep. John Salazar? Tipton thinks it could be, as he announced late last week he'd again run for congress. Though it certainly won't be easy. Salazar benefits from near-universal name I.D., helped on by a brother who served in the U.S. Seante until recently. But Tipton's numbers can go nowhere but up, as he lost last time by 25 points. But if the western slope is to be won, next year's election would be the environment in which to do so. An increasingly unpopular president, and a Representative supportive of his policies, could provide Tipton an opening. Question now is, can he muster the money and message to take advantage?
