11/17: Josh Penry is still in the money chase
Josh Penry may no longer be running for Governor, but he's far from done with next year's election.
More on that in a moment on the Face The State Radio Minute.
I was sad to hear the news that state Sen. Josh Penry would end his campaign for the Republican nomination for Governor. I like Josh a lot, and he's led a distinguished career in state politics. His departure leaves Scott McInnis pretty much alone on the GOP field, though as we discussed yesterday, Tom Tancredo may soon enter the fold. Regardless, Penry says he's far from done with next year's election, even if he can't be head-to-head with Gov. Bill Ritter. I wish him well in what he says is a new endeavor, transitioning his campaign into a fundraising vehicle for Republicans state-wide, who desperately need to catch up when it comes to political infrastructure. Good luck, Josh, in your new and desperately-needed endeavor.
