6/11: Sweat it out for the environment
Be a good citizen: turn up your thermostat this summer.
More on that in a moment on the Face The State Radio Minute.
File this one under, "ridiculous environmental hysteria." This summer, Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper and Gov. Bill Ritter have some choice advice for you: Turn up the thermostat. Yes, you just paid good money for that snazzy new efficient AC system, but that's just not enough. Inch the temperature regulator up a few degrees, and shed your coat and tie. Welcome to the new enviro-friendly workplace.
It's already a reality in dozens of government buildings in Denver, where the latest fad is to sweat for a good cause. Ritter and Hickenlooper are encouraging the private sector to feel the heat. See how well your clients and customers like visiting your office after taking their advice.
Who knew keeping your building cool would become an act of civil disobedience?
