Former state Rep. Alice Madden is back in government as the governor's new global warming czar.

More on that in a moment on the Face The State Radio Minute.

Oh, those poor former legislators. Banished from the state house by term limits or voter fickleness, they need jobs! Former Rep. Bernie Buescher, oustered from his seat by an upstart GOP challenger, found a soft landing as our new secretary of state. And now, former Rep. Alice Madden has a cozy position for herself as the Governor's new director for climate change.

No, I don't know what that means, either. But what a fancy title!

You thought the state was under a hiring freeze? Please. The Governor has made a habit of breaking it, anyway, and besides, Madden's job is paid for by a leftist non-profit.

When you're a former legislator looking for work, it's good to have friends in high places.
