Why do opponents of this year’s right-to-work initiative refuse to debate the issue?
More on that in a moment on the Face The State Radio Minute.
I think we can all agree it’s important to have a healthy debate about this year’s ballot initiatives. Unfortunately, not everyone agrees, including Jess Knox, spokesman for a union-backed coalition opposing the right-to-work initiative, Amendment 47. Knox ditched out on a scheduled TV debate Friday, even though he had earlier confirmed his attendance.
Kelley Harp, spokesman for Amendment 47, is not impressed.
HARP: Unfortunately it is very par for the course. They've put out TV ads which are sleazy and false, they’ve put out fliers that are misleading, and for them not to be here to answer for those ads, to justify those ads, and to engage in a conversation about the actual merits of Amendment 47 is indicative of how their campaign has been run to date."
Why won’t the unions debate?
