Marijuana event draws thousands to Denver's Civic Center Park

In Civic Center Park Sunday, more than 5,000 people came together to call for marijuana legalization. But while the annual event—part party and part protest—has in the past been defined by dozens of arrests, this year’s event saw few, with organizers emphasizing a larger message of freedom.

In Boulder, a record number of revellers packed the University of Colorado campus to celebrate "4/20," but no tickets are issued.

Foothills parks district violated state electioneering law

In a letter to residents from the district's board of directors, voters are urged to "Vote Yes to invest in a healthy community."

The latest dust up: A Democrat state legislative aide who had claimed to be a victim of voter fraud saw her complaint dismissed after state officials learned that she was not a registered voter.

At a Capitol hearing on his alleged ethics violation this week, state Sen. Abel Tapia, D-Pueblo, told his fellow legislators, “We all have ties, particularly if we have lives.” Perhaps true, but for the rest of us, our “ties” don’t result in half-million dollar contracts.
