Don't get too tipsy on election night...

...or you could end up in the company of the wrong party. The wrong political party, that is.

While the Colorado GOP has long held its election night bash at the Denver Tech Center Marriott, it has moved the location of this year's November 4 party to the nearby Marriott South at Park Meadows. And in an interesting twist, the Democrats are rumored to be taking over the GOP’s old digs.

While the receptionist at Democratic State Party headquarters would not confirm the new location, a call to the Marriott Tech Center confirmed that Dems have booked the hotel for their festivities. Dems have traditionally held their party in “safe territory,” otherwise known as downtown Denver. Perhaps this migration to the burbs is part of the larger outreach effort by Dems to voters in traditionally GOP stronghold districts, including Denver's south suburbs.
