Face the State staff writer Kate Melvin appeared on the Rocky Mountain Alliance Blog Talk Radio show Tuesday night to discuss ongoing budget struggles at the University of Colorado and the call for salary cuts from the Independence Institute, spurred by a FTS investigation into high salaries at CU.

After a report on UC Denver Chancellor Roy Wilson's salary, which could be as high as $718,000 in 2009, Independence Institute's Campus Accountability Project Director Jessica Peck Corry called for salary caps at CU.

The proposal has even sparked interest from legislators, who are considering cuts to higher education as a way to close the state budget gap.
